Living a Dog’s Life, kinda sorta
It’s almost time for school to start back up for the lil man, which indirectly means more stress for me at work (working in the school system, I relate what he’s doing in school to what I have to do at work, kinda weird that way). Anyhow, he’s excited to get back into school as are we.
C is doing great with Avon, I’m constantly amazed at how much money can be made and especially the quality of stuff they sell. There’s several colognes that I think smell really good and I’m looking into their lotion and cleansers. If you want to make some money on the side contact Christa!
As for me, I’m nursing my knee back into shape – I did too much too soon and have a case of Patellofemoral Syndrome or “Runner’s Knee”. From what I understand about it, my the tendons in my knee have tightened up and caused my kneecap to become misaligned and slide off center. Which for me just means some discomfort and a road to recovery. Serves me right, I was a knucklehead thinking I could do as much as I did so soon. Oh well I’m working my knee twice a day and I’ll get back on track soon enough.
Both C and I are continuing to lose weight, we’re both feeling great and energy and outlook is high. Really looking forward to the future and what we’re planning as it is now we’ve made a complete life change in the past couple months and things couldn’t be better in that area. As far as diet goes, I’ve decided to eat meat again for personal reasons but it’s usually limited to one protein source a day and I still avoid GM foods like the plague. So my diet is basically organic fruits, veggies, grains with a little dairy and meat, it works for me and is still very very healthy. C is still vegan and I totally support her in it.
The changes we’ve made have definitely been eye opening, we stay busy going on long walks, working out at the YMCA, playing Racquetball and walking our new dog Max (pictured above). We also canceled cable tv and don’t even miss it! Next step is to get bicycles and I’m looking into swimming lessons to learn how to swim properly. We try to hit the beach every weekend and everyone at work notices our changes – that part means the world, when others notice how hard we’re working to just get healthy.
So we’re doing pretty good, I hope everyone else out there is having a great summer and staying busy. Drop us an email sometime or better yet comment on the blog and let us know what’s up, since I left facebook I dont get to see what’s going on all that much but then again I’m not on the computer as much as I used to be either.
Hope all is well and talk to you soon!
